Alicia Machado is a beauty model, queen of the stage, and actor. Her birth name is Yoseph Alicia Machado at Maracay in Venezuela in December 6th, 1976. Alicia has a mixed background. Both her parents are both of Cuban descendance. Through her entire life she's left a notable mark in the field of beauty pageants, TV, and the film industry. Machado's meteoric rise to fame was first noticed when she won the title of Miss Venezuela in 1995 at the age of 19 as a representative of the State of Yaracuy. Her crowning achievement came one year later when she won the Miss Universe 1996 title, the fourth Venezuelan to win the coveted title. However, her reign in the role of Miss Universe was marred by controversy and negative media attention because of her weight gain in the course of her tenure.
