Vinita Nair

The journalist joined ABC News in July of 2004, and has been a reporter on a range of aspects, such as the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings close to Bailey, Colorado. Nair was commissioned to ABC News in December 2007 as a anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now. In that role she anchors live news coverage and news briefs for ABC's network on the internet. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning as well as ABC's online network, which ran until September 17th in from 2008 until February 18, 2011. She was partnered with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson for both of the shows. On February 17 the 17th of February, 2011 Nair revealed that Friday February 18was her final evening on air at World News Now. She announced that her last day at ABC News would be Friday on February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was appointed her successor. World News Now, February 18th was the first of three segments that paid tribute to Nair. Former and current colleagues also appeared in the segments.
