Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature long, blonde hair with a exuberant personality, shares easy techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell is also a part of the top New York establishments, learned about Italian food, its culture and traditions, and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she went after earning an English diploma and Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was the place where I experienced the most fun time of my life. I couldn't seem to get enough enjoyment from it. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, which is a Michelin-starred establishment. In Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and understanding of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge influence on her perception of food. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing challenges. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she advocates for the awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her career. Anne has said during her career in the kitchen she's grateful to be able to share what's most important to her.
